To naturally coincide with having parts to finally put this engine together, work has picked up this week. That said, I had some time this evening to get started.

Well, that job does have it's ups and downs. It is important to keep things in balance though.

Man don’t be a big block head. Sure you’re exhausted after using all your power at work, but that’s no reason to have even one stroke, never mind four of them.

Looks pretty, are you doing anything with the internals or just a rebuild?

*cracks knuckles*
Block has been bored .030 over, line honed, and decked. Crank is a forged scat crank with a 3.75" throw, bringing things to 383ci. scat I-beam rods go to forged flat-top pistons, pressing against 64cc AFR heads (195cc intake) for an effective 10.6:1-ish compression factoring in the headgasket. Fed from a 750cfm (mech. secondaries) carb, the single plane intake feeds the 2"+ intake valves, which are lifted via solid lifters over half an inch each for 240+ degrees of duration.
Or, more shortly, yes I’m building it ;)

Should be downright stupid for the car, but in a fun way!
